I can only imagine zukunft means ugly in german.

Pretty close.

It means future, and the idea was that Z cars point the way for how BMW’S of the future should be. That was before crossovers and FWD. Obviously.

Z4M coupes are getting cheap, so so tempting these days.

I’m thinking about it too.

I will be 30 this year. If I don’t get one in a few years, later it will look like mid life crisis.

Haha, now would be a great time to get into one. Some guy traded in his Z4M coupe track car (tons of carbon fiber parts, wing, lightweight wheels+r888’s, racing seats+5 point harness, coilovers) at the local BMW dealer and I thought it was hilarious to see it sitting in the showroom.

Define cheap, I was looking a few months back and most were $25-40K (for the coupes)

I’ve seen plenty for about $22k with under 50k miles, which I think is pretty fair. I have even seen some listed for cheaper but they tend to sell pretty quickly. Same engine as an E46 M3, like 200 pounds lighter, and a few years newer. E46 M3’s will go for around $18k with 75k+ depending on condition, so a comparable Z4M is definitely a good deal IMO.

And the E60 is even worse.

The pre-Bangle era was the best.

Agreed. But I think they’re getting a lot better.

In Germany they are already getting more expensive.

Don’t worry. If it doesn’t feel like midlife crisis and you’ve been in love with cars all the time it’s not MC. Screw what others thinking.
